Leila Duly is a textile print designer and illustrator based in East London. Her work incorporates floral, natural and wildlife scenes developed from pencil sketches and hand-drawn in ink. Leila is inspired by the English countryside, the vibrant flower markets near her home, Victorian etchings and a love of bright vivid colour. 

Leila has worked as a freelance print designer for the fashion industry since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2000. Her fashion prints sell globally to some of the world’s best known fashion brands.

New Card Collection

Alongside her fashion print design work, Leila has created her own collection of prints and homewares with her unique hand-drawn botanical style, sold throughout the UK. 

In 2018 Leila collaborated on a collection of Illustrations for Body Scents with Victoria’s Secret in the U.S. These featured 4 Illustrations on multiple products. Sold globally throughout Victoria’s Secret Stores.

During 2016 Leila designed and created botanical line drawings specifically for colouring in. ‘The Flower Year’ was published by Laurence King in the UK in 2017 and around the world soon after.

During 2015 Leila researched, designed and illustrated a poster-book of botanical line drawings specifically for colouring in and framing. The bestselling ‘Floribunda’ was published by Laurence King in April 2016 and around the world soon after.

In 2013 Leila was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to create a bespoke print design of the embroidery from Queen Charlotte’s bed, to be seen alongside their ‘Secrets of the Bed Chamber’ exhibition at Hampton Court Palace.
